(Helenium autumnale) Perennial. Native. Helenium produces a dazzling abundance of bold yellow blooms that are a magnet for bees and butterflies. Flowers appear in late summer and continue producing ample blooms through fall. These strong-stemmed daisy-like flowers are excellent in bouquets.
Also known as sneezeweed, but don’t worry, these plants are non-allergenic and won't make you sneeze! This name came from its medicinal use by Native North Americans as the crushed dried petals were used as a snuff as a treatment for hayfever.
