(Helianthus maximiliani) Perennial. This perennial sunflower is native to the Great Plains and provides showy, iconic sunflower blooms year after year. Excellent for back borders in wildflower gardens and makes a beautiful cut flower for bouquets.
Maximilian grows 3-8 ft tall and blooms from August until frost. Easy to grow and attracts pollinators and beneficial insects such as lacewings, lady beetles, syrphid flies and parasitic wasps all season long.
