Planting Instructions:
Start indoors 6-8 weeks before average last frost.  Start outside 1-2 weeks after average last frost and when the temperatures are warm.

Additional Tips:
Cumin prefers a sunny, sheltered location.

Cumin plants benefit from a little crowding to keep each other supported, so don’t hesitate to grow groups or clumps.

Grows best in average, well-drained soils. Don’t over fertilize. High nitrogen will result in less fragrant seeds.

Harvesting:
To harvest seeds, let the seedpods ripen and turn brown, then pick place on a screen for drying. Once dried, rub the pods to remove seeds or thresh upside down into a bucket or bag. Use them fresh or store them in an airtight container.

Companion Plants:
Cumin attracts many beneficial insects, including parasitic wasps and predatory flies.
Plant with cabbage, beets, cucumbers and potatoes.
