Planting Instructions:
Start indoors 10 to 12 weeks before average last frost for spring planting, or 10 to 12 weeks before transplanting outdoors for fall. Transplant outdoors when they are about 5” tall and temperature has steadied. Plants are more likely to bolt if exposed to prolonged temperatures below 50°F, or extended heat.

Additional Tips:
Celery seeds are very tiny. Take care not to plant to deeply by using a fine soil and covering with a light dusting.

Celery requires consistent watering. Seedlings started indoors should be kept moist at all times.

Soil blocks or plantable pots can be very helpful for celery, especially to help avoid transplant shock.

Celery plantings benefit greatly from the addition of compost, kelp, bone meal and fish emulsion.

Harvest individual stalks when they are at least 6" tall. Cut with sharp knife at the base. Avoid harvesting the entire head at once.

Companion Plants:
Plant with beanscabbage, leek, onionspinach and tomatoes
